Lucknow: Monsoon is active in Uttar Pradesh and rain continues in various fields. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), today, on 28 July 2025, there is a possibility of heavy rains in many districts of western Uttar Pradesh, due to which an orange alert has been issued for four districts like Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar and Bijnor. At the same time, yellow alert has been issued for districts like Moradabad, Rampur, Meerut, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Sambhal, Aligarh and Mathura.

Expect heavy rain in western UP:
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, today there will be an emphasis of rain in western UP. In many districts, a warning of cloudburst and lightning has also been issued, which has advised people to take precautions. These alert districts include Baghpat, Meerut, Hapur, Ghaziabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Hathras, Kasganj, Agra, Firozabad, Sambhal, Saharanpur, Shamli, Etah, Badaun and Bareilly.

When will the rain increase in eastern UP?
Currently, there is some lack of rain activities in eastern Uttar Pradesh, but according to the Meteorological Department, monsoon will be more active in western UP in the coming 48 hours, and after that Monsoon activities are expected to intensify in eastern UP from 29 July. Due to this effect, heavy rains can also occur in many districts of eastern UP.

Due to rain, the temperature can be recorded in the entire state, which will provide relief from the scorching heat and heat and the weather will be pleasant. However, the problem of waterlogging in low -lying areas may also be faced.
