New Delhi: The monsoon session of the Parliament of India is resumed today (28 July 2025), in which important issues such as Operation Sindoor, the incident of terrorist attack near Pulwama on 22 April and the controversy over reforms in Bihar’s electoral roles will remain at the center of discussion. After the last week’s uproar, the session proceedings are expected to run smoothly from today.
Operation Sindoor and Pulwama Attack:
This session will be important for the Pulwama terrorist attack and response to India’s counter -military action, discussion on Operation Sindoor. Opposition parties have questioned the alleged intelligence failures regarding this attack, while the government says Operation Sindoor has clarified India’s firm stand against terrorism. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will start a debate on this in the Lok Sabha, in which Home Minister Amit Shah and External Affairs Minister S.K. Jaishankar can also join. The matter is expected to debate a 16 -hour marathon in both houses.
Bihar electoral rolls controversy:
Controversy over the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar is also likely to be raised in Parliament. Opposition parties are alleging that a large number of qualified citizens may be out of the voter list due to lack of qualified citizens, which can deprive them of voting.
