The havoc of Yamuna in the country’s capital Delhi is not limited to the banks of the river only. Its pain today is sobbing under the city’s flyovers, on the roads dividers and in bus stands. Hundreds of families who came out of their homes are forced to live the life of helplessness today, but perhaps no one to listen to them.

All the claims to deal with the floods of the district administration are seen flowing in the water. The tents installed for the flood victims are so low that there is no place for most people to hide heads. Those who got tents, their condition is also bad. Many tents do not even have light. People are wandering from rate to rate for clean drinking water and toilets.

One is flood, rain from above

Those who are living in the open due to lack of space in government relief camps, the rain on them is broken as double disaster. On one hand, Yamuna water swallowed their houses, and now the water raining from the sky is also ruining their remaining goods. People are struggling to protect themselves with the help of small children and old people with the help of a tarpaulin. The extent was reached when the relief camp built in Mayur Vihar Phase-I was drowned in the water itself and the people living there had to be sent again to another place.

However, some people have emerged as an angel in this difficult time. Ghonda MLA Ajay Mahawar and Councilor Rekha Rani herself took a boat and reached Garhi Mandu village between the swollen Yamuna and took out the people by playing on their lives. He has also opened a chaupal of the village to the victims.

Human beings and human beings also improved

In this disaster, not only humans, thousands of unruly animals are also trapped. Many animal lovers are reaching the areas of Yamuna Khadar with their teams. They are finding dogs trapped in water through boats and transporting them to safe places.

These pictures show two faces of Delhi – on one side the failure of government system and on the other hand, hold each other’s hand in difficult times. But the question is still the same that when will the real help reach these people living under the flyovers?
