A one -day snakebite medical management workshop was organized by the Relief Commissioner’s Office on Tuesday under the snakebite renovation program at the Conceptual Auditorium of Planning Building. The workshop took place on Tuesday in conjunction with Relief Commissioner Bhanu Chandra Goswami. In the workshop, under the snakebite renovation program by the Professor of King George Medical University and the Nodal Officer of the Snake Bite Program of the Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare, the doctors from each tehsil of 18 districts were imparted training in relation to the speedy treatment from snake bite.

On this occasion, Relief Commissioner Bhanu Chandra Goswami said that this workshop has been organized for proper and quick treatment and medical management of a person suffering from snakebite in the state. He said that the doctor should treat the victim with full sensitivity on snake bite, not send him to other hospitals. He said that one moment is important for the treatment of a person suffering from snake bite. He said that primary and community health centers in rural areas are the main centers of medicine, so it is very important to have anti -snake venom there. Effective steps should be taken for the common man to get information about the available anti -snake venom being available in hospitals. The Relief Commissioner said that information about real time monitoring and live tracking of anti -snake venom at each community health center will be available soon on the Snake Bite Mitigation Portal operated in the Relief Commissioner Office. Almost preparations in this regard have been completed.

Bhanu Chandra Goswami said that mapping is being done on the helpline number 1070 of the Relief Commissioner Office for the availability of the nearest health center and anti -snake venom on it. In addition to the doctors, the Non Technical Staff working in the field will also be trained by the Relief Commissioner’s Office, so that the victim victim does not have to face any difficulty from ambulance to treatment for quick treatment. He informed that the doctors who are being trained as master trainers will train the emergency officers of their districts, CHC, PHC and other hospitals for emergency treatment of surgery.

In the workshop, the Nodal Officer of Snake Bite Program of Medical Health and Family Welfare Department, Dr. Pankaj Saxena gave detailed information about poisonous snakes of various species. Important information about symptoms of snakebite, prevention and proper management of treatment. Dr. Pankaj said that, 38 species of snakes are found in Uttar Pradesh, of which 18 species of snakes are toxic and 20 species of snakes are not toxic. He said that abundance is such a situation that after snake bite, he dies of heart attack in panic, so do not panic when the snake bite should not go to the nearest health center and get anti -snake venom. He advised not to come under the chandelier and the tantric’s deception due to misconceptions when snakebite. He said that due to lack of awareness, people often get victims of misconceptions and put the life of the victim in trouble.

He told that, snakes do not see or hear nor drink milk nor have Nagamani nor brain. There is confusion about the snake that he lives in a couple, it is not so. He said that, one should stay away from all these misconceptions. He told that when he comes, he consider food and attacks. Snakes run away from bullying. According to the weather, the incidents of snake bites decrease. The incident of snake bites increases from June to September and in lukewarm sunlight. So be cautious in these days.

Professor Shaifali Gautam and Dr. Neelkamal Mishra of King George Medical University said that the snake does not panic, the poison spreads rapidly in the nervous system due to panic. He gave the correct information about the use of ambabags by training the doctors present in the workshop in relation to CPR (emergency life saving process). While training CPR through the demo, he said that the life of the victim can be saved from the accurate use of CPR. He trained to give oxygen with ambubags.

About 100 doctors participated in the master trainer workshop from Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Ballia, Basti, Chandauli, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Jaunpur, Kushinagar, Mau, Mirzapur, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, Rae Bareli, Santakbir Nagar, Shravasti, Siddharth Nagar and Sultanpur. In the workshop, State Advisor of the snakebite renovation project, Kavya Sharma thanked the doctors and the workshop was conducted by the manager Personnel Shantanu Dwivedi. Senior Finance and Accountant Santosh Kumar, including Shailendu Nath Mishra, Amit Kumar, Ashish Verma, Prashant Shahi, Ram Kishore, Aditi Gupta, Navneet Yadav, Avinash and others were present in the workshop.
