Regarding economic empowerment of women power, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said in Kushinagar today that the aim of the government is to make the didis of 1 crore group as ‘Lakhpati Didi’. Also, work is going on war footing towards developing 7,500 active groups of the state as ‘Crorepati Groups’. This is a big step towards women empowerment and self-reliant India.

Shri Maurya honored the workers who made special contributions to self-help groups under the National Rural Livelihood Mission. Besides, the beneficiaries were also encouraged by the Department of Deaf, Dumb and Disabled through demo check.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya said that all the welfare and developmental schemes run by the double engine government of the state are bringing positive changes in the lives of poor, farmers, women, youth and disabled people and continuous work is being done towards making Uttar Pradesh self-reliant and prosperous.
