News India Live, Digital Desk: Government of Jharkhand is taking a big step towards making rural women financially and socially empowering. After the spectacular success of ‘Phoolo-Jhano Ashirwad Abhiyan’, now another important initiative has been started in the state named ‘Mayan Balwan Yojana’. The objective of this scheme is to empower about 3 million rural women from all over the state with various welfare schemes and self -employment opportunities. Under this scheme, the government will pay special attention to providing self -employment opportunities and making them financially self -sufficient. For this, women will be connected in various ways of income generation through small and cottage industries. The government will provide them with training and assistance in areas such as sewing, string, handicrafts, agro -based products and food processing. It will also be helpful in strengthening the rural economy. The ‘Mayan Balwan Scheme’ will be operated as an important program under the Rural Livelihood Mission. It will be ensured that the benefit of this scheme reaches every needy rural woman, whether it is tribal, Dalit or any other backward class. They will be directly assisted to empower them so that they can play a strong role in society and family. Along with this, the state government is also running ‘Planning Campaign’, which aims to build development plans based on local needs and priorities at the village level. The role of women self -help groups (SHGS) in successful implementation of these schemes will be very important. Women self -help groups are already playing an active role in rural development and ‘Mayan Balwan Yojana’ will provide them more power. The State Government claims that these schemes will not only bring positive changes in women’s lives, but will also strengthen the economy of the entire state. The Chief Minister and ministers of the concerned departments are constantly giving directions to the officials to ensure effective implementation of these schemes. This is a holistic approach towards women empowerment, which can bring a big change in rural Jharkhand.
