What will be the cost of FL-4D license to sell liquor in a mall?
Under this new project of the government, the State Excise Department has started accepting applications for FL-4D license. Officials said that at present, the project will be started on a pilot basis in Gautam Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad adjacent to Delhi and Lucknow. The annual cost of the FL-4D license required to sell low alcohol beverages in the multiplex mall has been fixed at Rs 6 lakh.
Earlier, only FL-4C license was available for liquor sale in Uttar Pradesh, which was priced at Rs 25 lakh per year. With FL-4C license, malls were allowed to sell premium liquor. Certainly, the FL-4C license is to install premium liquor shops in the mall, which will allow the entire range of alcoholic beverages including beer and wine to sell, as well as high alcohol beverages such as whiskey, rum, vodka, gin and brandy can be sold.
These outlets maintain high quality standards in terms of internal setup and service. However, the annual license fee for license is Rs 25 lakh, it is mainly available to large businesses or franchise holders who are capable of running premium retail operations.
There will be a complete ban on the sale and intake of liquor in theaters.
District Excise Officer of Gautam Buddha Nagar Subodh Kumar said that low -alcohol beverages will be sold in the multiplex mall, but there will be strict restrictions on the sale or intake of any type of liquor in the cinema hall. These shops will open inside the mall, but they will not be opened inside the cinema hall. He informed that a mall located in Noida Sector 43 has already applied for FL-4D license. Apart from this, applications have also been submitted from two other places.
