News India Live, Digital Desk: Student Welfare Scheme: There is a great news for millions of students and their parents of Uttar Pradesh. The state government is now going to send an amount of Rs 1200 directly to their parents’ accounts for students from class one to eight to buy essential materials like uniforms, shoes, socks, sweaters and stationery. This amount has been set separately for each child.
This important initiative will be implemented through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), in which the money will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the mothers of the students whose mothers are not available, then the money will go to the father’s account. The main objective of this process is to bring complete transparency and eliminate any kind of disturbances at the middle level. Last time the government gave parents Rs 1200 per student to buy the necessary materials through online platforms, which was successfully used.
Recently, Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra held an important review meeting in this regard with officials of Basic Education Department. He gave strict instructions that the availability of education related material for children should be ensured and the scheme should be implemented as soon as possible. It was also asked to ensure that the amount reached the parents’ accounts directly without any delay so that the children could buy their necessary things on time.
It is expected that soon this amount will reach the accounts of the beneficiaries. This step of the government is a big step towards providing better educational facilities to students studying in government schools and providing quality education materials and essential items to every child without any hassle, so that they can get a good and supportive environment for studies.
