Or maybe your elderly parents want to buy something at the store, but they don’t want to get involved in the intricacies of technology? If yes, then BHIM App Has found a solution to your problem.

BHIM app has a great feature ‘UPI Circle Full Delegation’ Has been launched. This feature is going to change a lot in the world of digital payments. In simple words, now the ‘owner’ will remain the same, but his ‘trusted’ people will also get the freedom to spend from his account.

What is this ‘UPI Circle Full Delegation’? (in simple language)

Till now what used to happen was that to run UPI it was necessary to have your own bank account. But under this new feature, if you (primary user) want, you can allow any of your family members or your office staff (secondary user) to make payment from your bank account.

The most important thing is that there is no need for the other person to create his own bank account or separate UPI ID. He will be able to make payment directly using your account balance.

There will be complete control over pocket money (Safety Features)

You might be thinking, “Someone is going to drain my entire account!”. Don’t worry, control will be completely in your hands.

  1. Spending Limit: Through this feature you can earn maximum in a month. ₹15,000 You can set a limit up to. This means that more money than this will not be withdrawn from your account.
  2. Instant News: Whenever your child or staff makes a payment, you will get an instant notification as to where and how much money has been spent.
  3. Cancel permission in one click: If you feel that the feature is being misused or the work is over, you can immediately revoke the ‘Delegation’ at any time. You can set its time limit from 1 month to 5 years.

For whom is this feature beneficial?

  • for the elderly: Parents who are nervous about visiting ATMs or operating complex banking apps can now easily use the limits provided by you.
  • College Students: Those who do not have their own source of income can use digital “pocket money” given by their parents.
  • Small Traders: Shopkeepers can give this digital access to their staff instead of giving them cash for tea, snacks or small expenses.

Delegation went from ‘half’ to ‘complete’

In the year 2024, ‘Partial Delegation’ was first introduced, in which approval had to be taken from you every time to make payment to another person. But now in this ‘Full Delegation’ they have got freedom, they can make payments (within the limit) without disturbing you again and again.

NBSL CEO Lalita Nataraj It says the feature has been designed keeping in mind the “trust and familiarity” of Indian families. This is indeed another smart step towards Digital India.
