Why was this decision taken? (The Objective)
Shortage of land in urban areas: Acres of vacant land is no longer available inside big cities (like Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Noida). In such a situation, due to old rules, new hospitals or schools were able to be built only on the outskirts of the city.
Promotion of vertical development: The government believes that now instead of expanding the land (horizontally), facilities should be expanded by increasing the height of buildings (vertically).
Ease of licensing and approvals: With this change, the complexities of unnecessary inspection and approval will also be eliminated, so that entrepreneurs and doctors will be able to easily start their projects.
Special emphasis on parking and security
Along with abolishing the requirement of land, the government also strict conditions Have also added so that chaos does not spread:
Road Width: The condition of road width for hospital reduced from 18 meters to 12 meters It has been done, but it will be mandatory to create a separate ‘parking bay’ for ambulances.
Pick and Drop Zone: Schools will have to provide space for pick and drop of children within their limits so that there is no jam on the road.
Mechanized Parking: Multi-level or mechanized parking will be made mandatory to accommodate more vehicles on less land.
