No respite from Delhi’s pollution, after Diwali AQI again crosses 300, 27 areas in red zone

After Diwali, the weather is changing in Delhi and the cold is increasing. Delhiites are facing the double blow of pollution and cold. Today many areas of Delhi are in the red zone, where AQI is beyond 300. The highest AQI in Bawana is 366. Due to continuous strong winds, the weather of Delhi has become colder. The mornings and evenings are getting cold. However, despite the winds, there is no sign of Delhi’s pollution reducing.

Even today Delhi city Average AQI Has reached 310. Most of the areas of Delhi are in Red Zone. AQI is above 300 in 27 areas of Delhi. AQI of 300 is continuously maintained in some areas from Anand Vihar to Wazirpur.

AQI above 200 in these areas

Many areas of Delhi have AQI below 300, which includes DTU’s AQI 271, Aya Nagar’s 264, Dilshad Garden’s 248, Lodhi Road’s 218, Major Dhyan Chand Stadium’s 293, Najafgarh’s 271, Shadipur’s 260 and Aurobindo Marg’s 284. AQI in these areas is between 200 to 300, which is considered bad. The air there has become poisonous.

Delhi’s temperature dropped

Along with Delhi, air quality is also very poor in Ghaziabad, Noida and Gurugram. Today the AQI of Greater Noida is 248, Noida is 272 and Gurugram is 245. Cold is increasing in Delhi also. Today the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be 26 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 11 degrees Celsius. The temperature is continuously falling in Delhi, due to which the cold is increasing.
