The Uttar Pradesh government is taking big steps towards facilitating traffic in the state and improving connectivity. In collaboration with the Central Government, the process of widening of the National Highway (NH) 128 and NH 128B has increased. This project will make the journey from Rae Bareli to Mau easier, which will not only ease traffic, but will also speed up commercial, educational and industrial development.
Project expansion:
NH-128: This national highway connects Rae Bareli to Amethi, Sultanpur, Ambedkar Nagar and Banda. The process of detailed project report (DPR) of its widening has started. Amethi MP Kishori Lal Sharma raised the issue in the Lok Sabha on priority and paved the way for the project, after which the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways approved the preparation of DPR.
NH-128B: This route is 55 km long from Mau to the lung of Ballia and was in a bad condition for years. The road from Mounath Bhanjan to Ballia, which goes to the border of Bihar, will now be rejuvenated by NHAI. The process of preparing DPR has also been approved for this route.
New axis of development:
This widening project, named ‘Vikas Express’, will prove to be important for Purvanchal and Bundelkhand regions. Along with ease of business movement, it will also improve access to educational institutions, industrial units and health facilities. After the rejuvenation of NH-128B, this road will provide strong connectivity to the borders of Ballia, Ghazipur, Deoria and Bihar. Soon an expert company will be selected which will assess width, height, overbridge and cost.
This initiative will not only meet the much -awaited demand of millions of people, but will also establish a new standard of excellence in road construction.
