A similar horrifying scene was witnessed near the Red Fort, one of the busiest areas of Delhi, when a massive explosion occurred in a moving Hyundai i20 car. A CCTV footage of this incident has also surfaced, which will shock anyone’s heart.
At around 7 pm on Monday evening, when the traffic was moving at its normal pace on Netaji Subhash Marg, suddenly a white colored i20 car exploded. It is clearly visible in the footage that the car disintegrated into pieces and high flames engulfed it. The explosion was so powerful that many nearby vehicles and e-rickshaws also got badly damaged due to it, due to which an atmosphere of chaos and panic was created in the area.
Government admitted it was a terrorist incident, NIA took over the investigation
This incident has shaken the entire Delhi. The government has termed it a “despicable terrorist incident” and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has now taken over the investigation of the case. In the initial investigation, the strings of this blast seem to be connected to a big terrorist module, which was exposed by security agencies in Faridabad some time ago.
Shocking clues emerged in the investigation
As the investigation by the investigating agencies is progressing, surprising information is coming to light:
- Long car journey: Investigation has revealed that the car that exploded had traveled about 11 hours from Faridabad to Delhi on Monday. The entire route of the car has been traced with the help of CCTV footage, which shows that the car kept roaming in different areas for several hours after entering Delhi.
- Pulwama Connection: The i20 car used in the blast has also been linked to Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir. It has been revealed that the car was sold several times, which is a tactic often used by terrorist organizations to hide the real owner.
- Identification of the suspected driver: The agencies suspect that the car was being driven by Dr. Umar Un Nabi, a resident of Pulwama. The role of some other doctors associated with Al-Falah University of Haryana is also being investigated in this case.
10 to 12 people lost their lives and many were injured in this blast. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have taken stock of the situation and have instructed the agencies to expose the entire conspiracy as soon as possible. At present, security has been increased in Delhi and vehicles are being checked at various places.
