Although Maa Kali is worshiped on many occasions, but the Amavasya of Kartik month, i.e. the night of Diwali, has special significance for her worship. This festival is celebrated with great pomp in many states of the country, especially West Bengal, Assam and Odisha.

Simple and complete method of worship (Puja Vidhi)

To get the blessings of Maa Kali at home, you can worship with this simple method:

  1. accuracy: Take bath before the auspicious time of puja. Wearing red or black colored clothes is considered auspicious in this puja.
  2. Preparation of puja place: Spread a red cloth on a post in the Ishaan corner (north-east direction) of the house and install the idol or picture of Maa Kali on it.
  3. Deepak and invocation: Light a mustard oil lamp in front of the mother’s picture and invoke her with devotion.
  4. Worship: Offer Roli, Kumkum, Akshat, Sindoor and especially red Hibiscus flower to the Mother, because this flower is very dear to her.
  5. Mantra chanting: Mantras of Maa Kali with full concentration “Om Krim Kalikayai Namah” Chant it at least 108 times.
  6. Bhog and Aarti: At the end of the puja, offer kheer, halwa or seasonal fruits to the mother. Then perform his aarti with camphor and incense and pray to remove all troubles and negative powers from your life.

It is believed that whichever devotee worships Maa Kali with a true heart on the night of Diwali, Maa fulfills all his wishes and frees him from all kinds of fears and enemies.
