More than 10 people died due to stampede in Mahakumbh, Akhara Parishad announced to resume Amrit bath

Mahakumbh stampede: In the Mahakumbh Mela, there was a stampede due to the overcrowding on the bathing festival of Mauni Amas. More than 10 devotees are feared dead in this sad incident. While many others are reported injured. The condition of some of them has been found to be critical. Therefore, the death toll is also expected to increase. According to the information received, the incident took place at around 1.30 pm late at night. The injured were taken to the Central Medical College Mahakumbh for immediate treatment, where he was treated by a team of doctors. The seriously injured people were also referred to the Higher Center for further treatment.

Giving information to the media, OSD Akanksha Rana of Mahakumbh Mela said that this incident took place due to pressure from the crowd at the confluence. According to the information, this stampede occurred due to a rumor.

Today’s nectar bath has been canceled

Today’s nectar bath was canceled after the stampede incident. But later Akhara Parishad President Ravindra Puri said that the Akharas have decided to resume the bathing bath. The nectar bath was resumed after the situation became normal. After this incident, security arrangements have been further enhanced in the fair. Additional police force has been deployed to control the mob and an appeal has been made to maintain peace from the Namazis.
