However, some areas including the national capital Delhi are still facing humid heat and are eagerly waiting for the rain. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rainfall in several states for June 28, 2025.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, rain is expected in Punjab, Haryana, Eastern Rajasthan and Uttarakhand on 28 and 29 June.[1] At the same time, in Jammu and Kashmir and western Rajasthan, there is a possibility of rain during these two days. The capital of Uttarakhand, Dehradun and surrounding areas, is already receiving torrential rains, due to which Yellow alert has been issued.
Monsoon activity in Uttar Pradesh has also increased, especially in western UP and Terai areas. The Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms in many parts of the state between June 28 and July 3. Cities like Noida and Meerut, where people were suffering from humidity, there is a possibility of rain in the next few days.
Apart from this, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh may receive heavy rains from 28 June to 2 July. Rain activities will also be seen in Bihar, Sikkim and West Bengal from 28 to 30 June. There is also a possibility of lightning fall in these areas with strong winds, so people have been advised to be vigilant.
