A religious debate is also under discussion amid rumors of the wedding season. Maulana Qari Isaac Gora, the patron and Deobandi Ulema of Jamiat Dawatul Muslimeen, has expressed serious concern over the trend of Muslim women wearing bangles in the markets and getting mehndi to non -Maharam men.

Maulana Qari Isaac Gora said, “It is mandatory for women in Islam. Any type of physical contact with non-Maharam men is against Islamic Sharia. Women are a clear violation of Sharia orders.”

He further said that this is not only a disregard of religious rules, but it is also a sign of increasing immorality in the society. He urged the Muslim community that women should perform rituals like mehndi and bangles inside the house or with women, so that these rituals can be performed according to Sharia.

Maulana also appealed to the intellectuals of the society, the ulema and the heads of the family to spread awareness in the matter and motivate their sisters and daughters to conduct according to Islamic teachings.
