Many lives can be saved with the help of timely first aid: TS Murali

Haridwar, 26 October (HIST). A training program on First Aid, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) was organized by the Medical Department of BHEL Haridwar at Swarn Jayanti Auditorium today. TS Murali, Executive Director, BHEL Haridwar inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.

Addressing the program, Shri Murali said that first aid has a very important role in dealing with various emergency medical conditions. He said that with the help of proper first aid, CPR and AED in time, precious lives of many people can be saved.

Shri Murali said that first aid prevents the condition from becoming more serious, thereby speeding up the process of recovery. Chief (Medical Services) Dr. Sharda Swarup also informed about the benefits of first aid.

It is noteworthy that about 180 employees registered for this training program, who were trained by BHEL's doctor Dr. Gaurav, Dr. Pankaj and Dr. Abhishek gave detailed information about First Aid, CPR and AED.

Head (ENT) Dr. SP Singh highlighted the emergency situations related to nose, ears and throat and the role of first aid in them. In the program, a short drama related to raising awareness about CPR was also presented by the nursing students of Swami Shri Bhumanand College.

On this occasion, General Managers, senior officers, doctors, para medical staff members and a large number of employees were present.
