Advocate Vishal Tiwari, who practiced in the Supreme Court, has filed this petition. In this stampede during Mahakumbh, 30 people died while more than 60 people were injured. The petitioners can demand a early hearing of Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna in the court today.
What is demand in PIL?
01-PIL has demanded to display basic information regarding security measures to all states so that they can establish facilities properly for the people of their state and provide guidelines for persons coming from their state and these Centers should be prepared to provide any assistance. in case of emergency.
02-provision should also be made for a performance and demonstration. Boards that tell guidelines, roads etc. in regional and other languages of the country so that people can get appropriate information without any help in emergency.
03- All state governments should also arrange electronic mode to send messages. Messages should be sent through SMS, Basic WhatsApp. So that devotees can be easily informed about guidelines and security measures.
04-In coordination with Uttar Pradesh, all state governments should also deploy their medical teams in Prayagraj. There should be maximum space for security and entry and exit of common devotees.
05- Demand to ask for the status report of Uttar Pradesh Mahakumbh 2025 for the stampede incident. Legal action has been demanded on the careless attitude of responsible persons, officers and officials.
There will be no effect or threat to the 06-VIP movement. This must be ensured. For this, maximum space should be provided for admission and exit keeping in mind the safety of common devotees.
30 killed in Mahakumbh accident
In the stampede that took place on the day of Mauni Amavasya in Mahakumbh, 30 people died and more than 60 people were injured. On the day of Mauni Amavasya, a huge crowd gathered for the Amrit bath at Triveni Sangam. Police say that this accident has happened due to the breakdown of some barricading of the fair area and the akharas. As soon as the barricading broke, the uncontrollable crowd started moving towards Sannaghat. Police say that there was no VIP movement at the time of the accident. After the stampede, major changes have been made keeping in mind the future bathing. The entire fair area has been declared a no vehicle zone. Now vehicles will not be able to enter the Sangam area. VVIP passes have also been canceled.
