Lucknow Traffic Alert: Today i.e. on 28th November, the country’s President Draupadi Murmu is arriving in Lucknow, the city of Nawabs. Special preparations have been made in the city to welcome them, but along with this, major changes have been made in the traffic so that the general public does not face any problem on the roads.

Madam President will inaugurate a special program of ‘Brahma Kumaris’ “Meditation for World Unity and Faith” today at 12 noon. A beautiful peacock dance will be organized at the airport to welcome him. Not only this, famous artist Hitesh from Chhattisgarh has also decorated a very beautiful rangoli in his and Gulzar Dadi’s honour.

Since the security of the President is of paramount importance, the entry of common vehicles will remain closed or their routes will be diverted on many main roads of the city, especially around the Airport, Raj Bhavan and Sultanpur Road. If you are leaving for office or any work today, then definitely see the traffic plan given below.

1. Those going towards Amausi Airport and Shaheed Path should pay attention
If you are going to the airport, carry some time in your hand.

  • Stoppage: Normal vehicles will not be able to enter the airport directly from the VIP turn of Amausi Airport. You have to go left from the commercial turn.
  • Martyr Path: Vehicles will not be able to proceed towards Shaheed Path from Kanpur Road intersection. You will have to make your way via Transport Nagar, Old Chungi or Barabirwa.

2. Mohanlalganj and Sultanpur Road (Near Brahma Kumari Centre)
A program is to be held in this area, hence there will be utmost strictness here.

  • Gosainganj and Ahimamau: If you want to come towards Ahimamau from Gosainganj Tiraha, this road will remain closed. You will have to take the route of Mohanlalganj and Kisan Path via in front of the District Jail.
  • Underpass: The road leading to Brahma Kumari Center from Kabirpur and Ahimamau underpass will also remain closed. The traffic here will be diverted towards Kisan Path or Kamta Tiraha.

3. Hazratganj and around Raj Bhavan (heart of the city)
The route has also been changed in Hazratganj area in the center of the city.

  • Raj Bhavan and Hazratganj: You will not be able to go towards Raj Bhawan or Hazratganj DSO from Bandariabagh intersection. For this you will have to choose the route via Golf Club intersection or Red Light intersection.
  • Park Road: The road between Park Road and Hazratganj from DSO intersection may remain ‘one-way’ or completely closed.
  • Royal Hotel: There will be a ban on going towards Vidhan Bhavan or DSO from here also. You will have to travel through Burlington Square or Sikandar Bagh.
  • Roadways Buses: No roadways bus will go towards Bandariabagh from 1090 intersection, they will be diverted towards Baikunthdham and Chiraiyajheel.

4. Vrindavan Yojana and Sector-15
If you live in Vrindavan Yojana or PGI area, these changes are for you:

  • Sector-14 and 19: Vehicles will not be able to go towards Sector-15 (event venue) from the canal bridge and Piprikheda intersection here. You will have to use the route via Gyan Sarovar Canal Bridge, Telibagh or Kalindi Park.
  • Trauma Centre: There is also a lot of diversion around New Trauma Center and Sapna Enclave. From here you will have to go towards Police Line Road or Telibagh.
