The scorching heat continues in Uttar Pradesh. The temperature in many districts of the state has crossed 40 degrees Celsius. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), on Wednesday, the maximum temperature in Varanasi was recorded at 43.3 degrees and Lucknow was recorded at 41 degrees Celsius. The situation has become so serious that it has become difficult to get out of the house after 9 in the morning.
Lu alert in 37 districts
The Meteorological Department on Thursday issued an alert for heat stroke in 37 districts of the state. These include Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat and Kanpur Nagar. Apart from this, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ambedkarnagar, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi and Lalitpur districts are also expected to run.
Possibility of rain from 27 April
However, according to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of relief from the scorching heat soon. On April 24, a new western disturbance is getting active, due to which after April 27, many districts of the state may rain with cloud movement and thunderstorms.
Varanasi hottest district
According to the Amausi Meteorological Center in Lucknow, on Wednesday, Varanasi was the hottest district in the state, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 43.3 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Prayagraj, Agra, Kanpur and Jhansi was also at a very high level.
Temperature rise continues in the coming days
The temperature of the state may increase by 2-3 degrees in the next five days. The effect of heat will be felt at night along with the day. However, after three days, the minimum temperature may decrease slightly.
