It is clearly visible in the video that a leopard is roaming on the road in the dark of night and then goes towards the sugarcane field. The entire scene was recorded in CCTV of a nearby petrol pump. As soon as this footage surfaced, there was a stir in the entire area and there was an atmosphere of fear among the people. The nearby villages, especially whose houses are close to the fields, are in a lot of panic. People have now also reduced going to the fields alone.
The information of this incident was immediately given to the Forest Department team. Forest department officials reached the spot and also saw the leopard’s footprints, which confirmed that it was a leopard. The team is now combing in the surrounding area, that is, an attempt is being made to find the leopard. Preparations are also underway to apply a cage so that the leopard can be caught and left in a safe forest.
