
News India Live, Digital Desk: Leadership Change: The exercise to change leadership in Jharkhand BJP has now gained momentum, indicating a long meeting between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and senior BJP leader Raghuvar Das in Delhi. According to sources, the meeting lasted for about forty five minutes, after which speculation about the post of party president in the state has intensified. It is believed that Amit Shah himself is taking personal interest in making the party more strong in Jharkhand. It is worth mentioning that the post of Jharkhand BJP President is vacant since the end of the term of Deepak Prakash. Keeping in mind the 2024 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, the party wants to appoint to the post as soon as possible to further strengthen the organizational structure. Five big names are currently being considered seriously for this post. These include the names of former Chief Minister and MLA Babulal Marandi, Laxman Gilua, Dinesh Oraon, Samari Lal and Chandeshwar Prasad Singh. It is believed that the party leadership wants to choose a face that helps in increasing the BJP’s support base in the state in the upcoming elections. Considering these names, the party is also taking care that proper balance can be made between tribal and non-tribal faces, which is important for the political and social structure of Jharkhand. Babulal Marandi is being said to be a strong contender, while other names are also seriously considered. This important meeting in Delhi shows that the party is formulating a strategy at the central level to strengthen its grip and strengthening in Jharkhand.
