What happened and where did this action?
The LDA team suddenly launched a major campaign without no noise and demolished the illegal construction on about 180 bighas of land with bulldozers. This action was taken in areas like Jankipuram and Sultanpur Road. Here some land mafia had erected illegal colonies overnight to trap innocent people.
Think, roads were built at these places without any approval, electric poles were installed and people were prepared to sell a hefty amount by selling the plot. As soon as LDA got a glimpse of it, he immediately took action.
In this campaign, about 17 small and big illegal colonies were fully grounded. LDA officials clearly say that no illegal construction in the city will be tolerated and whoever tries to do so, similar strict action will continue against them.
