Zee News According to the report, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rains with strong thunderstorms in 15 states of the country within the next 20 hours. During this period, the wind speed can reach up to 70 kilometers per hour in some areas. States like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan, which were burning like a furnace for the last several days, are now showing signs of pleasant weather.
Monsoon gaining momentum in the south
On one hand, the period of thunderstorms is starting in North India, on the other hand, monsoon is progressing rapidly in South India also. However, the monsoon in Kerala did not arrive on its scheduled date i.e. 26th May and there was a slight delay in it, but it is a matter of relief that its progress is being seen quite well in the south-west and south-east parts of the Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep and the Bay of Bengal.
Meteorologists say that the monsoon will advance further in the next two to three days. Due to the favorable conditions being created in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, the extent of rainfall will increase significantly in many parts of the country in the coming days. Its direct impact will also be on the plains of North and Central India, due to which the effect of heat wave will be completely eliminated in the coming days.

People living in Delhi and NCR areas are going to get great relief from the heat during the next three days. According to the Meteorological Department, in the coming three days, the maximum day temperature may drop by about 8 degrees Celsius and the minimum night temperature may drop by up to 6 degrees Celsius.
