Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has received a notice from the Sonepat court on the statement of poisoning the water of Yamuna. A Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court located in Sonepat district of Haryana has ordered him to appear in this case on 17 February. This notice has been issued on the complaint of an executive engineer of Rai Water Service Division.

Court order: Kejriwal should appear on 17 February

The court clarified that if Kejriwal wants to say something in the case, he will have to appear personally on the next hearing.
“If he does not come to court on the next date, it will be believed that he has nothing to say in this matter and then further action will be according to the law.”

Haryana government will file a case

Earlier, Haryana Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Vipul Goel had said that the state government will file a case against Arvind Kejriwal.
He told the media:
“Kejriwal has spread panic among the people of Delhi and Haryana by making irresponsible statements. The Haryana government is going to register a case against him in the Sonepat CJM Court under the Disaster Management Act. ”

Section 223 of the Indian Civil Protection Code (BNSS) against Kejriwal,
Section 54 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, and
Complaints have been filed under sections 353 and 356 of the Indian Code (BNS).

What did Kejriwal say?

Kejriwal alleged on Monday that:
“In Haryana, BJP people are sending poison in Yamuna water and sending Delhi to Delhi, so that people are ill and they can convince you (AAP). This is being done to take political advantage. “

He also said that:
“The water treatment plant which has been mixed in the poison water cannot be cleaned. In many areas of Delhi, water supply had to be stopped for the safety of people. ”
