A video of Kareena Kapoor is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which she is seen leaving behind other passengers standing in the queue at the airport and entering directly inside. Seeing this ‘VIP behaviour’ of Kareena, internet users have become angry and she is being trolled fiercely.
What is the whole controversy?
In the viral video, it can be seen that common passengers are waiting for their turn at the entrance of the airport and there is a long line for security check. Then Kareena Kapoor reaches there with her team and instead of standing in the queue, she goes straight towards the gate. The security personnel present there also allow them to go inside without stopping. This very thing angered social media users and they termed it as a vulgar display of ‘VIP culture’.
Demand for ‘equality’ raised on social media
Commenting on the video, a user wrote, “Rules should be equal for everyone, even if he is a big star.” Another user expressed his displeasure and said, “Have the rest of the people come to stand in the sun? These stars should stop considering themselves God.” Many people also raised questions on the security personnel as to how they allowed the celebrity to break the line. The situation of trolling is such that people are now even calling Kareena ‘arrogant’.
Celebrities and airport protocol
This is not the first time that a film star has been trolled for getting such a facility at the airport. However, some fans defended Kareena, saying that often for security reasons and to avoid crowds, airport authorities allow celebrities to exit through separate gates or queues. At present, no official statement has come from Kareena Kapoor or her team on this matter, but there is a debate on social media whether it is justified to break the rules on the basis of influence.
