But it is true that there were many bigger and better films that year. The fans of those films showed their love for their favorite stars and cinema. It is completely right and I completely respect their love and sentiments.”
Along with this, Dhanush made an emotional appeal to the cinema lovers and his fans and said that when he has been honored with two National Awards, then please everyone should celebrate it together instead of opposing it.
Received honor for ‘Ryan’ and ‘Captain Miller’
Let us tell you that in the year 2024, Dhanush had received the National Award in the category of Best Regional Film for his directed and starring film ‘Raayan’. At the same time, for his period-action film ‘Captain Miller’, he was awarded the Best Actor award under the Special Mention Category.

Dhanush said that his best films like Pudhupettai, 3, Mayakkam Enna, Vada Chennai, Karnan, Maryan and the Hindi film Raanjhanaa were such films which received a lot of praise at the national level and were fully deserving of the National Award. But despite this, none of these films could get the National Award. So, now when he has received the award it should be accepted positively instead of making it controversial.
