News India Live, Digital Desk: Nowadays, if you go out to any park or field in Jharkhand in the morning, you may even see frozen dew drops. In districts like Ranchi, Khunti, Simdega and Gumla, traveling at night is no less than a big challenge. The Meteorological Department has warned that there is no scope for improvement in the situation in the next few days, rather cold wave and dense fog can put brakes on the pace of the state.

Those 15 districts where the situation is ‘out of control’
According to the report of the Meteorological Department, the effect of cold is maximum in at least 15 districts of Jharkhand. Among these, Palamu division and South Chotanagpur areas are on top. The temperature in Lohardaga and Simdega is so low that it is rivaling the hilly areas. People say that the tap water is so cold that even touching it feels like an electric shock.

The sun comes out, but there is no relief!
It is generally believed that sunshine reduces the cold during the day, but the icy winds coming from the north have completely changed the atmosphere. Despite the clear sky, there is no heat in the sun that can provide comfort to the body. Experts are calling it ‘dry cold’, which is very harmful for our health, especially for children and the elderly.

Fog increased difficulties
Along with cold, dense fog has slowed down traffic. Visibility on the roads is less than 50 meters, due to which driving in the early morning has become dangerous. Many express and passenger trains are running hours behind schedule. Markets are also becoming deserted in the evening because no one wants to go out in this deadly cold unnecessarily.

Our advice: Caution is safety
If you live in these districts, then definitely follow the doctor’s advice. Cover yourself in layers when sleeping and when going out. Take the help of bonfire but avoid burning coal in closed rooms, which can be fatal.

The Meteorological Department believes that this winter’s ‘tornado’ may last for a long time. How is the condition of your city? Has the severe cold started there too? Please let us know in the comments.
