To completely curb the black trade and smuggling of drugs in Jharkhand, Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s government has approved a very strict and attractive ‘Reward Policy’. Under this new policy, cash rewards ranging from Rs 3,000 to Rs 2 lakh will be given by the government to common people (informers) and government employees who provide accurate and intelligence information about drug smugglers.
A total of 39 important decisions including this proposal have been approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister.
Reward will be decided on the basis of quantity and type of drugs
Giving information about the decisions of the Cabinet, Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat and Vigilance Department, Vandana Dadel said that this step has been taken to stop the illegal production and smuggling of drugs banned under the NDPS Act, 1985 in the state:

Reward amount: The cash reward given to those giving intelligence will depend on the type of drug seized (eg ganja, opium, heroin etc.) and its quantity.

Who will get the benefit: This reward will not only be given to informers who provide accurate information, but will also be given to encourage government employees who do excellent work in detecting smuggling. The identity of the informers will be kept completely secret.
Gift to government employees and pensioners, DA increased to 60%
In the cabinet meeting, a big announcement has also been made for the government servants and pensioners of the state. Government in Dearness Allowance (DA) 2 percent increase Is:

New DA: Dearness allowance of employees now increased from 58 percent to 60 percent It is done.

Relief to pensioners: Dearness Relief (DR) for pensioners has also been increased to 60 percent.

A major revision has also been made in the reservation charges of rooms in Jharkhand Bhawan located in New Delhi, under which government and private booking charges have been increased:

Big relaxation in artists’ pension scheme, age limit abolished
A sensitive decision has also come from the cabinet for the people associated with the cultural sector of Jharkhand. The rules for monthly pension scheme for seriously ill and physically challenged artistes of the state have been simplified:

Age restriction removed: Earlier, to avail the benefits of this pension scheme, it was mandatory for the artist to be at least 60 years of age, which has now been completely abolished in the case of sick and disabled artists.

Rs 4,000 monthly pension: Now senior artistes above 60 years of age as well as seriously ill and disabled artistes of any age will be entitled to Rs. Monthly pension of Rs 4000 Will be given.

Income condition: The benefit of this welfare scheme will be available only to those artists whose total monthly income from all sources is less than 8000 rupees Is.
