Expressing happiness over the release of Azam Khan, he targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party government fiercely and made a huge promise.
Akhilesh Yadav gave his response as soon as the news of Azam Khan’s release from Sitapur jail. He said, “This is a day of happiness for the Samajwadi Party. I thank the Hon’ble Supreme Court that he gave justice. A senior leader like Azam Khan Saheb was implicated in false cases under a well-planned conspiracy, but today the truth has won.”
“If the government is formed, all the cases will be returned”
Akhilesh Yadav did not stop only on congratulating, he also made a big announcement. He said that as soon as the Samajwadi Party government is formed in Uttar Pradesh, all the “false” cases imposed on Azam Khan will be withdrawn.
He said, “This is not just an insult to Azam Khan Saheb, it is an insult to the entire Samajwadi Party and crores of people who believe in democracy. The kind of allegations on him were never seen in politics before. But we had full faith in the judiciary.”
