The air here has become so poisonous that once again some restrictions have had to be imposed. Noida has reached the second position among the most polluted cities of the country and the Air Quality Index (AQI) here has reached 426, which falls in the ‘severe’ category.

Imagine, the air we are breathing has become spoiled to this extent. In view of this, the government has again implemented the Graded Response Action Plan, i.e. GRAP-3.

What does GRAP-3 mean?

If you understand in simple language, when the air becomes very bad then some things are banned so that the pollution can be reduced a little. Among the restrictions that have been imposed now, the most important is the rule related to vehicles.

If you have an old petrol or diesel car, you will not be able to drive it on the road at present. Petrol vehicles of BS3 model and diesel vehicles of BS4 model have been completely banned. If you are caught breaking this rule, you may have to pay a heavy fine of Rs 20,000.

Apart from this, strict action is also being taken on construction works, especially in those places where the risk of dust is high.

These restrictions may bother us a bit, but they are very important for our health. This level of pollution is extremely dangerous for children and the elderly. It would be better if we use public transport more for some days and take out our vehicles only when absolutely necessary.
