Income tax department imposed a fine of Rs 1000 crore, Indigo was fined Rs 1000 to 944 crore

The Income Tax Department has imposed a fine of Rs 944.20 crore on the airline company IndiGo. IndiGo described the order for imposing fines as flawed and said that we will challenge this order in the court.

This order to submit the fine has been given to Interglobe Aviation, the country’s largest airline company, Indigo, the country’s largest airline company.

IndiGo has told the stock markets that the evaluation unit of the Income Tax Department has ordered a fine of Rs 944.20 crore for the assessment year 2021-22.

The airline has said that the order has been passed on the basis of misrepresentation that the appeal filed by the company against the evaluation order under Section 143 (3) before the Income Tax Commissioner (Appeal) (CIT A) has been rejected, while the case is actually pending and it is yet to be decided.

IndiGo has said that this order will not affect its financial condition, operations and other activities.

IndiGo said in another statement that it believes that the order passed by the Income Tax Authority is not in line with the law and is wrong.

The airline said in a statement that the company will oppose it and take appropriate legal action against the order.
