In Ghatshila by-election, Hemant Soren made a scathing attack on Champai, asked – Why did you join hands with BJP?

On Monday, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren made his sharpest attack so far on his political guru and current Chief Minister Champai Soren. He directly accused Champai Soren that he has joined hands with BJP to save his chair.

“Champai Dada stabbed us in the back”

Hemant Soren was addressing an election rally in Ghatshila in favor of JMM candidate Ramdas Soren. During this he appeared very aggressive. He said emotionally, “I gave fatherly respect to Champai Dada, made him the Chief Minister. But what did he do? He stabbed us in the back and joined hands with those (BJP) who sent me to jail in a false case.”

Hemant Soren asked the crowd, “Tell me, a tribal’s son was in jail and they (Champai faction) were holding meetings with BJP leaders in Delhi. What kind of justice is this? This is a betrayal of Jharkhand’s identity.”

Why is Ghatshila by-election important?

Ghatshila by-election has become a tough question for JMM. This election will not just decide one seat but will also decide who is the real leader of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha – Hemant Soren or Champai Soren.
