The weather patterns in these areas can change completely from noon onwards. There is also a possibility of hailstorm along with strong winds at some places. Farmers have been advised to avoid going to open fields and keep their cattle in safe places.

The department has appealed to the people to be careful regarding the incidents of rain as well as thunder and lightning. If you are outside, do not take shelter under any large tree or electric pole. Stay indoors and minimize use of electrical appliances. Using a mobile phone during a thunderstorm can also be dangerous, so be cautious. The local administration has instructed all the district headquarters to keep an eye on the situation of waterlogging in low-lying areas.
