Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim are also expected to receive heavy rains for the next seven days. There is a possibility of thunderstorms in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh between 4 to 7 June.
Possibility of rain in Bihar and West Bengal
Rain alert has also been issued in Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Kerala and Karnataka on 4 June. In the next 24 hours, strong winds may blow in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The maximum temperature in northwest India is expected to fall by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the next two days. However, after that it may increase by 4 to 5 degrees in the next five days. In eastern India, the maximum temperature is expected to increase by 2 to 3 degrees gradually in the next two days. There is no expectation of any major change in temperature in the rest of the country.
Odisha and West Bengal are expected to run heat from 4 to 6 June. During this time, hot and humid weather will continue in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, dry weather is expected in Jammu, Kashmir, Goa, Karnataka, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand and many parts of Gangetic West Bengal.
