News India Live, Digital Desk: State Chief Minister Hemant Soren has taken a very big and historic decision for the youth of Jharkhand. Now, any new private company, factory or outsourcing agency coming up in the state will have to provide an estimate of its total jobs. 75 percent Part will have to be reserved for local people. This means that now 3 out of every 4 jobs in the industries set up in Jharkhand will be available only to the youth of Jharkhand.
In a high-level meeting held on Friday, the Chief Minister has instructed the Labor Department officials to strictly implement this rule.
What is this new rule?
The full name of this rule is ‘Jharkhand State Employment of Local Candidates in Private Sector Act, 2021’. Although this law had already been made, but now the government has decided to implement it with full strictness.
- Which jobs will it apply to?: This rule will be applicable to all those private sector jobs in which monthly salary Rs 40,000 Till then. This reservation will not be applicable on jobs with salaries higher than this.
- Mandatory for all companies: This rule will be applicable to every new factory, company, joint venture and projects running on PPP mode to be established in the state.
- Job portal will have to be created: The government has launched a new job portal for the Labor Department, ‘Jhar-Niyojan’Instructions have also been given to make it. All companies will have to give information about their vacancies on this portal.
- Emphasis on skill development also: The government will not only provide reservation, but will also ensure that local youth are given training as per the needs of the companies. For this, skill development centers will also be opened across the state.
Why was this decision taken?
Chief Minister Hemant Soren believes that the people here have the first right on the resources of Jharkhand. It is often seen that industries are set up in the state, but jobs go to outsiders and local youth remain unemployed. The main objective of this rule is to stop migration from the state and to provide employment opportunities to the local youth near their homes.
The government has also ordered the DCs of all the districts to ensure that the companies being established in their districts completely follow the rule of 75 percent reservation. This decision can prove to be a big milestone for the future of the youth of Jharkhand.
