HUT network in Jharkhand, ATS filed charge sheet against 5 terrorists

News India Live, Digital Desk: Jharkhand ATS (Anti Terrorism Squad) has taken major action against the international terrorist organization Hizb-ut-Tahrir (HuT), which is trying to establish its roots in Jharkhand. Who are these 5 terrorists and what were their intentions?

All the five terrorists against whom ATS has filed the chargesheet are in judicial custody. A woman is also included in these. Some time ago, acting on the basis of intelligence, ATS had arrested these suspects from Wasseypur and other areas of Dhanbad. Among the arrested people, a former terrorist of Indian Mujahideen, Amar Yasar, had again got involved in terrorist activities after coming out on bail.

ATS investigation has revealed that these terrorists were planning to set up a strong module of HuT in Jharkhand. Their main tasks were:

• Brainwashing of youth: These people used to target innocent and unemployed youth. They used to provoke them in the name of religion and instigate them to adopt the path of Jihad.
• Weapons stockpile: Many illegal weapons including pistols and bullets have been recovered from them. Investigation has also revealed that they were conspiring to murder an influential person so as to spoil the atmosphere of the state and the country.
• Foreign Connection: Hizb-ut-Tahrir is an international organization which is run from abroad. ATS is also investigating how these terrorists were connected to foreign handlers and from where they were getting funding. These people used the dark net to communicate with each other.

How was this network exposed?

ATS was getting intelligence information about the activation of this terrorist module in Jharkhand for a long time. On the basis of this information, a team was formed and the entire operation was carried out. Many digital evidences have been found from the mobile phones and laptops of the arrested terrorists, on the basis of which the charge sheet has been prepared. ATS is now also searching for other people associated with this network and it is expected that some more arrests may be made soon.

This action is a major success for Jharkhand ATS. It foiled a major terrorist conspiracy in time and saved the state from unrest.
