Helmet manufacturer Steelbird has launched a premium helmet, the Ignite IGN-16, in the Indian market. This new helmet has a retro design and is a half-face helmet. The company claims that this helmet has Kevlar insulation, which makes it one of the safest helmets.
What did the officials say?
Kashish Kapoor, Director, Ignite, said the combination of EPP multi-impact protection and Kevlar reinforcement in the IGN-16 model provides greater confidence, safety and comfort to riders. This model clearly reflects Ignite’s commitment towards safety and premium design.
How safe is the helmet?
The new IGN-16 helmet from Steelbird’s premium brand Ignite features a PC-ABS shell and EPP liner. This technology easily absorbs impacts and the helmet returns to its original shape, providing long-lasting multi-impact protection.
The interior of the helmet uses antimicrobial, anti-allergenic and breathable fabric, and removable and washable padding.
This helmet has an anti-scratch UV-protected polycarb visor and Pinlock 30 anti-fog insert. It comes with both double D-ring and micrometric buckle options.
This model has been launched in the market with dual certification of ISI (IS 4151:2015) + DOT (FMVSS 218 USA).

The IGN-16 helmet is available in sizes ranging from 540 to 620 mm. Its price is Rs 5,999. The company is giving 3 years warranty on this helmet.
