Hardcore mentality cannot be changed

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar on Friday made a big statement about the status of minorities in Pakistan in the Lok Sabha. He said that we cannot change the mindset of such a neighboring country, whose thinking is based on bigotry and bigotry. He also said that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi also could not change this mentality of Pakistan.

India’s tough eye and claim to raise the matter on international forums

Jaishankar said that the Government of India closely monitors the atrocities on minorities in Pakistan and Bangladesh and keeps the subject raised on many international forums including the United Nations.

He informed that incidents of atrocities against Hindus, Sikhs and Christians in Pakistan are constantly coming to the fore.

Jaishankar also informed that in Bangladesh, there were 2400 attacks on minorities in 2024, while in 2025 so far 75 cases have been reported.

“Government will take strict action?” – Jaishankar’s answer on the question of MPs

Shiv Sena (Ubatha) MP Arvind Sawant demanded strict action from the government on this issue and while referring to the 1971 Bangladesh liberation struggle, he said, said
“Indira Gandhi is still remembered today. Will our government take such strict action?”

In response, Jaishankar clarified that the Indian government is constantly raising voice on the declining population and oppression of minorities in Pakistan, but it is not possible to change the hardcore mentality of the neighboring country.

Despite international pressure, the situation in Pakistan

On the question of BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, Jaishankar reiterated that increasing attacks on minorities in Pakistan have been raised on international forums, but despite this the Pakistani government is not ready to take any concrete action.

It became clear from Jaishankar’s statement that the Indian government will continuously raise the issue internationally, but it is not easy to change Pakistan’s hardcore mindset.
