In a wedding ceremony in the state, where after a few hours, Shehnai was going to be played and auspicious songs were being sung, suddenly armed miscreants attacked there. The robbers not only looted the precious jewelery and cash of the bride kept ready for the wedding, but also brutally shot dead a woman of the family when she protested. According to information received from eyewitnesses and family sources, wedding rituals were going on in the house and relatives and women were immersed in the festive atmosphere. Meanwhile, late in the night, after midnight, suddenly more than half a dozen masked miscreants armed with weapons jumped over the wall of the house and entered inside. As soon as the miscreants arrived, they took everyone hostage at gunpoint. When the women of the house protested against giving the keys to the safe and taking away the bride’s jewellery, the criminals opened fire without thinking, in which a woman got shot and died on the spot.

After the firing incident, there was an outcry in the house, taking advantage of which the robbers carried out the robbery in a leisurely manner. The miscreants made away with heavy gold and silver jewellery, expensive clothes and huge cash specially made for the wedding. The house which was shining with light till some time ago, is now covered with blood stains and the sounds of crying. The family members are also deeply angry over the attitude of the local police who arrived after a long time of receiving the information.

As soon as the news of this sensational incident spread, hundreds of people from nearby villages gathered at the spot. Considering the sensitivity of the incident, top police officers reached the spot with heavy force and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. Police administration says that special teams have been formed to raid suspicious places and checking operations are being carried out by sealing all the borders of the district.
