Gurugram, May 31 (HS). Gurugram Police is continuously working to find people's lost mobiles. So far, mobiles worth crores of rupees have been found and handed over to the real owners. Once again the police has found 156 mobiles worth Rs 12.12 lakh and handed them over to the owners. These mobiles have been found with the help of Central Equipment Identity Register Portal.
The police team of Incharge Cyber Cell Manesar ASI Sandeep Kumar received information about missing mobile phones through various sources. Acting on the complaints/information of missing mobile phones, the police team recovered 156 missing mobile phones of people with the help of Central Equipment Identity Register Portal. The cost of these recovered mobile phones is about 12 lakh 12 thousand rupees. Assistant Commissioner of Police Manesar Surendra Singh has handed over the recovered mobile phones to the real owners. People expressed happiness on getting their missing mobile phones and thanked Gurugram Police.
He told that Central Equipment Identity Register Portal is a citizen centric portal of Telecom Department. This portal has been made to track mobile devices through their International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) numbers. If someone's mobile phone is lost or stolen, then that IMEI can be blocked. For this, a complaint has to be lodged in the concerned police station. Gurugram Police appeals to the general public that whenever a mobile is lost, then definitely complain about it on 222.sdgdbham.dsh1.dth, so that your mobile phone can be found and given to you.
