Government pressure on opposition, controversy over the bill

Muslim organizations across the country performed black armbands during Eid prayers to protest the bill. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has said that the government is trying to influence the religious properties of Muslims by cutting the powers of the Waqf Board.
