Gorakhpur: There is a big and good news for the people of Purvanchal. Surat of Gorakhpur Airport is now completely changing, as preparations have started to make it an international level modern airport. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has cleared this ambitious project, which will give a new flight to the development of this region.
Why is this project needed?
Currently, Gorakhpur Airport is a part of the Indian Air Force airbase, which is used as a civil enclave. Because of this, there are many boundaries here. Right now only 8 flights are operated from here and there is no facility of landing of aircraft at night. This causes a lot of inconvenience to the passengers and the capacity of the area is not being fully utilized.
What is CM Yogi’s mega plan?
To overcome this problem, Chief Minister Yogi has directed to create a completely new and grand terminal on 385 acres of land. The goal of this new airport is not just to connect Gorakhpur with other parts of the country, but to connect it with the world.

Capacity: About 200 flights can be operated daily from the new terminal.

Development and tourism will get a boost

CM Yogi has instructed the officials to complete the land acquisition work fast, so that this big dream can be converted to reality as soon as possible.
