Everything is going to change, from withdrawing money from ATM to keeping a minimum balance in the account.

Come, let’s know what is changing and what you have to take care of.

1. Rules instead of withdrawing money from ATM

Now you have to think before withdrawing money from ATM, because the charge after the free limit has increased.

  • Free transaction limit:

    • From Axis Bank’s ATM: 5 times a month (withdrawing money or checking balance) is free.

    • From other banks ATMs (in metro cities): It is free 3 times a month.

    • From ATMs of other banks (in small towns): It is free 5 times a month.

  • How much will be charged when the limit is over?
After this free limit, if you withdraw money (Financial Transaction), then you every time ₹ 23 + GST Will have to pay a charge. If you only check the balance or take out a mini statement (Non-Financial Transaction), then you ₹ 10 + GST Will have to pay a charge.

2. The rule of keeping minimum balance in the account also changed

The bank has also increased the limit of average monthly balance in the account.

  • In metro/urban areas: Now you have at least in account ₹ 16,000 The average balance will have to be placed (earlier it was ₹ 15,000).

  • In semi-urban areas: This limit now ₹ 6,000 Has been done (earlier ₹ 5,000).

  • in the countryside: This limit ₹ 3,000 Has been done (earlier ₹ 2,500).

If you are not able to maintain this balance, then you have to pay penalty as before.

Overall, Axis Bank customers now need to be a little more careful. Before withdrawing money from ATM, remember your free limit and maintain the necessary minimum balance in your account, so that you do not have to pay any kind of additional charge.
