New Delhi: A drug of Rs 39 crore has been recovered from two women from Thailand at Delhi Airport. These drugs were to be taken to various parts of India, but these substances were confiscated due to the vigilance of customs officers stationed at the airport.
According to the information received, Customs officials have seized 36.89 kg hydroponic marijua in a major action at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. It was seized from two female passengers from Marijuana Thailand. Which reached Bangkok via flight number TG-323. Custom authorities stopped both passengers on the green channel on the basis of profiles and searched intense.
During the investigation, a total of 42 polythene pouches were seized from a gray and an olive green trolley bag. Drugs were found in them. The total weight of which was 36,893 grams.
Initial examination of substances found in the trolley bag of Thai women revealed that the seized drug was marijuana. After investigation, officials said that this is hydroponic marijuana. The price of which has been estimated at Rs 39 crore in the international market.
It is noteworthy that hydroponic marijuana is also locally known as Ozi. Its craze has increased across India in recent times. Hydroponic marijuana contains 30 to 40 percent of the volume of tetrahydroocainabinol (THC), while the regular marijuana contains 3 to 4 percent of ThC.
This marijuana is as powerful as cocaine. Its price is around 80 lakh to 1 crore rupees per kg.
