News India Live, Digital Desk: On the night of Diwali, while on one hand the entire city was glowing with lamps and lights, on the other hand, an orgy of fire was seen in different areas of Hazaribagh. Three major fires one after the other in the city spoiled the color of the festival. In these accidents, the store room of Sadar Hospital, a mobile shop and a firecracker shop were burnt to ashes, due to which the loss is estimated to be lakhs of rupees.
Incident 1: Fire in the store room of Sadar Hospital
The first and biggest incident took place late in the night in the Sadar Hospital premises. Suddenly a fire broke out in the old Deputy Superintendent’s office located here, which had now been converted into a store room. Before anyone could understand anything, the fire took a huge form. Old furniture, mattresses, medicines and many other valuable items were kept in this store room.
As soon as the information was received, fire brigade vehicles reached the spot, but by then the fire had spread significantly. After hours of hard work, the fire could be controlled, but in this accident, all the goods kept in the store room were burnt to ashes. Preliminary estimate is that there has been a loss of about Rs 35 lakh in this arson. Short circuit is being said to be the cause of the fire.
Incident 2: Mobile shop turned into a ball of fire
The second incident took place near the city’s busiest Jhanda Chowk. Here a massive fire broke out in a shop named ‘Baba Mobile’ located on Guru Gobind Singh Road. Short circuit is believed to be the cause of fire in this shop also. The fire was so terrible that the mobile phones, accessories and other electronic items kept in the shop were completely destroyed. In this incident also, there is talk of loss worth lakhs.
Incident 3: Firecracker shop burnt to ashes
The third incident of fire also took place on Guru Gobind Singh Road, where a licensed firecracker shop caught fire. The fortunate thing was that when this accident happened, the shop was closed and there was not much crowd around. However, in this incident also all the firecrackers kept in the shop were burnt to ashes.
These three major incidents that happened on the same night of Diwali created an atmosphere of chaos in the city. These accidents have once again emphasized the need to be alert regarding fire safety measures and incidents like short circuit.
