Real meaning of fasting: Restraint of body parts

Eye fasting: Refraining from watching anything obscene or wrong.

Intention to keep fast (Sehri ki Dua)
It is prescribed to fast after having Sehri before Sadik (dawn). Fast without intention is not considered complete.
Fixed: “Va bi somi gadhin navaitu min shahari Ramzan” > (Meaning: I made the intention to fast tomorrow in Ramzan.)
Dua for breaking the fast (Iftar ki Dua)
This dua is recited while breaking fast with dates or water at sunset in the evening:
Supplication: “Allahumma inni laka sumtu wa bika amantu wa alaika tawakkalatu wa ala rizqika aftaratu” (Meaning: O Allah! I fasted for you, believed in you, trusted you and broke your fast from the sustenance given by you.)
Three Ashra (Phases) of Ramadan
The 30 days of Ramadan are divided into three parts (10 days each), which are called ‘Ashra’:
First Ashra (Rehmat): This is the time of Allah’s mercy and grace.
Second Ashra (Maghfirat): This is the time for forgiveness and repentance of sins.
Third Ashra (Salvation): It is time to get freedom from the fire of Jahannum (hell).
Zakat and Sadaqah: Importance of Charity
