According to recent reports, out of the total iPhones sold worldwide, 25 percent (1 in 4 iPhones) is being manufactured in India alone. This figure not only reflects the success of ‘Make in India’ but is also part of Apple’s mega-strategy to reduce its dependence on China.

Tremendous growth of 53% in production in India

According to Bloomberg and other media reports, Apple has expanded its assembly lines in India at a record pace over the past year:

Units data: In India in the year 2025, about 5.5 Crore (55 Million) iPhones were assembled, whereas in 2024 this number was 36 million.

Increased production: Indian production compared to last year increase of 53% Has been registered.

Global Share: Apple makes about 22-23 crore iPhones annually, in which India’s share has now reached 25%.
