Enmity with the player and friendship with the beauty? Owaisi raised serious questions on the policy of BCCI and government

News India Live, Digital Desk: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi is known for his outspoken statements, but this time he has cornered the government on an issue which is shocking both cricket lovers and those interested in politics. Owaisi has taken a sharp dig at the ‘double attitude’ of the Indian government and BCCI towards Bangladeshi cricketer Mustafizur Rahman and former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

What is the matter?
Actually, the issue is related to the Indian Premier League (IPL). It is reported that this time BCCI kept Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman away from the IPL auction or put obstacles in his playing. There were whispers about this among the cricket fans, but now Owaisi has added fuel to this fire.

Owaisi roared at a public meeting and asked, “What kind of patriotism is this? On one hand, you are stopping an ordinary cricketer from Bangladesh from playing in the IPL, and on the other hand, you are happily keeping the former Prime Minister of the same country, Sheikh Hasina, against whom there are such serious allegations, as a guest in India.”

“Why don’t you send Haseena back?”
Owaisi did not stop here. He said in clear words that if the government is so strict about Bangladesh that its players cannot play here, then why is the controversial leader there being given shelter here? They have demanded that Sheikh Hasina should be immediately sent back to Bangladesh.

Owaisi says that it is strange that a player feels like a threat to the security or honor of the country, but we are giving security to a leader due to whom there was chaos in the neighboring country. This is the ‘double policy’ of the government.

Cocktail of cricket and politics
This is not the first time that sports and politics have come face to face, but this statement of Owaisi has sparked debate on social media. People are raising questions whether it was really right to stop a player like Mustafizur, when at the diplomatic level India is giving shelter to Sheikh Hasina?

Overall, Owaisi has now put the ball in the court of the government and BCCI. Now it will be interesting to see whether there is any political uproar on this statement or it will also be forgotten considering it an election speech. But this much is certain, this issue has definitely forced people to think.
